Fairgrieve Compression Moulding is thrilled to have been shortlisted for two awards at the regional finals of the 2026 Make UK Manufacturing Awards.
We have been shortlisted in both the ‘Growth Award’ and the ‘SME of the Region’categories in the North East, Yorkshire & the Humber regional finals.
Hosted by Make UK—a representative organisation for UK manufacturing and engineering industries—the awards are highly regarded and spotlight innovation, resilience, and future talent.
The awards process starts at the regional level, with winners from various regions then advancing to compete in the national gala finals.
For Fairgrieves, the recognition comes on the back of numerous awards in the past few years, but managing director Barry Davidson feels these to be the most significant yet.
“We’ve been fortunate to pick up a few business awards for our performance in the past few years, and have been repeatedly recognised for our success in the North East, but this recognition feels the most significant given regional finalists have been selected from a much wider area, and it also brings the opportunity to be recognised on a national scale,” he said.
“Also, this is the fourth year in succession that we’ve been shortlisted for awards at prestigious events. That demonstrates that the success we have had at the business, since Daniel Beaumont arrived as owner in 2021 and I joined also, has not been short-lived. It has been maintained and we continue to move forward.
Success has been achieved through significant investment in the factory, machinery, staff training and recruitment, with the business at times having to quickly mobilise to working 24 hours a day to meet customer demand.
“The growth we’ve achieved is a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our team,” added Mr Davidson.
“We’ve got such a great history, but we are a business which always looks forward and we hope there are many more good times ahead.”
The 2026 Make UK Manufacturing Awards regional dinner for the North East, Yorkshire & the Humber region will be held on Thursday October 22nd, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Newcastle.
Winners will progress to a national judging stage ahead of the National Gala dinner and awards evening in January 2027.
